Now, the Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF) is making it even easier for residents and tourists in Kiruna to witness this celestial spectacle with the launch of their new aurora app.

The IRF Aurora Alert app provides real-time notifications, allowing users to step outside and experience the enchanting display of colors in the sky.

Situated in the heart of Kiruna at the Space Campus, the Swedish Institute of Space Physics has been a pioneer in aurora research and observatory activities since the 1950s.
