Have you ever seen a quantum computer or an ice tank?

The beauty of the scientific journalist profession is that it gives the opportunity to stay up-to-date on current science investigation, learning about cutting-edge research firsthand.

In March, thanks to EUSJA (European Union of Science Journalists Association), I had the opportunity to visit several university laboratories in Helsinki, going from greenhouses to the world’s largest ice laboratory, observing for the first time a quantum computer or the clean room of the smallest satellites that can be built.

We begin this journey among the most innovative scientific research in Aalto university, learning that the architecture in Otaniemi (the university district of the capital) is by the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, splitting them into a kind of new elements: Space, Ice, Qbit and Networking.
